How the colors work

Mink leads with 35% of the painting, and ochre follows with 23%.

Pistachio is the accent: only 3% of the painting, but enough to lift the rest.

Its values run from 4 (olive) to 8 (pistachio), on a scale from 0 (black) to 10 (white): a middle range, neither hard nor hazy.

Warm and cool are close to balanced: 62% warm, 38% cool.

Ochre and blue sit on opposite sides of the color wheel, so each makes the other look stronger (see complementary colors).
