About Hex Match

Hex Match is a free daily game about hex color codes, the six-digit codes like #C04A2B that designers, painters and websites use to write down a color. Each day there are five codes. For each one we show five colors, and you tap the one the code names. The other four are look-alikes: the same code with one pair of digits moved, a little less each round, so the five colors get closer as you go.

A hex code is three pairs of digits: red, green and blue light, from 00 (none) to FF (all of it). After each pick we show the code as its three parts, so you learn to read codes at a glance. It takes about two minutes, plays in your browser on a phone or a computer, and needs no sign-up.
