How the colors work
Cognac leads with 30% of the print, and cream follows with 24%.
Light and dark are far apart: from cream at value 9 down to deep denim at 3, on a scale from 0 (black) to 10 (white). That range gives the print its strong contrast.
Warm and cool are close to balanced: 34% warm, 25% cool.
Cognac and denim sit on opposite sides of the color wheel, so each makes the other look stronger (see complementary colors).
The same colors in gray
Each color beside its value, from light to dark. Painters check this to see the print’s structure without its colors.
